Our Mission
Our mission is to educate Black voters on key policies that deeply impact our communities and demonstrate how their vote can play a vital role in achieving equity for Black Long Islanders. We aim to empower and mobilize Black voters on Election Day, ensuring their voices are heard and their interests are represented in the political arena.

Knowing who’s running, what they stand for, and how a policy will impact you and your family is vital to making the best decision at the polls and as you advocate for your community. BVLI is dedicated to ensuring that you have all the information and resources available to help you flex your power!
That means we’re about action and our goal is to arm you with enough information and tools that build up your confidence to lead. From phone calls to your local representatives to volunteering on a door-to-door canvass, we want you to get involved in this movement to effect real change on Long Island!
