When in office, what will you do to reduce harm and ensure there is social and economic equity for Black Long Islanders? If you are an incumbent, what policies/initiatives/laws have you supported that do this?

As comptroller I will use the power of the office to close racial wealth and opportunity gaps in Nassau. I’ll launch equity audits of county spending and contracts to identify where outcomes differ for Black residents, publish an open ‘equity dashboard’ so the public can track progress, and require equity impact reviews before major budgets or contracts are approved. I’ll prioritize audits and recommendations that expand procurement and contracting with minority-owned businesses, protect funding for affordable housing and workforce training in majority-Black neighborhoods, and partner with community leaders to make sure our recommendations translate into measurable results
