Candidate Questionnaire Responses
When in office, what will you do to reduce harm and ensure there is social and economic equity for Black Long Islanders? If you are an incumbent, what policies/initiatives/laws have you supported that do this?
As a black man running as the Democratic candidate for assembly, I understand how we are not represented in Albany. Suffolk county Republicans do not work to provide equal access to employment or education. They do not support or fund appropriately, diversity equity and inclusion programs. I also understand the lack of diversity In school boards and local chambers of commerce. The fact that black communities in Suffolk tend to have multiple zip codes diluting the vote. I will work for the people who elected me as well as those who didn’t. Community is about making sure we are all represented in our politics. I will advocate for everyone.
Is there anything else you'd like us to know about your campaign?
I’m a first time candidate having worked in the private sector for the past 30 years.
