Responsible leadership and integrity are qualities that have been lacking in the town and that I will bring. What I’ve heard from Black residents and town workers across the town is that opportunity has not been shared fairly. Too often, advancement and access to resources depend on who you know, not on merit or need.
As Town Supervisor, I will launch a full audit of hiring, promotions, and contracting practices on day one, not to point fingers, but to fix what’s broken. Every employee and every community deserves equal access to opportunity and services. That means ensuring fair hiring and pay equity in every department, directing resources to historically underserved communities, and holding leadership accountable for measurable progress.
I’ve served my entire adult life as a Marine combat veteran, a domestic violence NYPD officer, and a prosecutor, and I’ve always believed that leadership means standing up for fairness. In the Town of Hempstead, that means building a government where every resident, regardless of race or ZIP code, can see and feel that they are valued and served.
When in office, what will you do to reduce harm and ensure there is social and economic equity for Black Long Islanders? If you are an incumbent, what policies/initiatives/laws have you supported that do this?
Is there anything else you'd like us to know about your campaign?
The people of the Town of Hempstead deserve honesty and fairness, not backroom deals. The town raised taxes by over 12%, gave themselves raises in a backroom deal, and then we filed a lawsuit in which my opponent was found guilty of an illegal appointment that broke the law and the public’s trust. I’m running to rebuild that trust and make sure every community, especially residents who’ve been overlooked for too long, has a real voice in town government.
I’ve dedicated my life to doing what’s right. As Supervisor, I’ll ensure equity in hiring, fair access to resources, and transparency for all. It’s time for leadership that serves everyone, not just insiders.
