Candidate Questionnaire Responses
When in office, what will you do to reduce harm and ensure there is social and economic equity for Black Long Islanders? If you are an incumbent, what policies/initiatives/laws have you supported that do this?
To ensure social and economic equity for Black Long Islanders, my first step will be meeting with Black leaders and organizations to directly hear their needs and priorities. By working collaboratively with these local groups, I will push for policies that tackle systemic inequalities in areas like housing, education, healthcare, and employment. I believe that representation matters and that it’s essential to acknowledge different experiences. I don’t claim to have all the answers, but I’m committed to giving Black Long Islanders a voice in shaping how I advocate for them.
Is there anything else you'd like us to know about your campaign?
My campaign is about delivering real, common-sense solutions to improve quality of life for all. I prioritize protecting women’s reproductive rights, affordable housing, accessible healthcare, and supporting small businesses. I’m also dedicated to environmental protection. Listening to my neighbors and working collaboratively on key issues is at the core of my approach. My experiences as an educator, advocate, and environmental activist have prepared me to serve with compassion and integrity, bringing fresh energy and solutions to our district. Together, we can achieve meaningful progress.
