My focus is around economic equity. I have been working in the community as a housing advocate, and I plan to advance those initiatives further if elected this fall. I believe that we start with keeping people in the community with a safe and appropriate roof over their head. Also, jobs- what's a home with a good year-round job to keep it? I plan to focus on economic development, especially around small businesses. Black Long Islanders are often the first to be impacted by housing and employment issues - so I'm hoping these initiatives will be able to make a positive impact.
