When in office, what will you do to reduce harm and ensure there is social and economic equity for Black Long Islanders? If you are an incumbent, what policies/initiatives/laws have you supported that do this?

As a Hempstead Town Councilman and a Member of Congress, I have delivered millions of dollars to invest in law enforcement training, education, public health and job creation.  I have worked hard to make every community that I represent a safer place to live and to ensure that every resident is treated with respect.  I believe education is the key to success for our children and I will continue working to deliver the funding and support necessary to give local students every opportunity to succeed.  Partnering with local chambers of commerce, I am proud of my work to strengthen local small businesses and invest in Minority and Women Owned Businesses.  I have also worked to combat drugs in community, with a focus on lifesaving treatments like Narcan trainings.

Is there anything else you'd like us to know about your campaign?

As a member of Congress, I am proud to be present in every community in my district. I am running a community-focused campaign that is focused on delivering for my constituents and sharing that message. I was recently named the second most bipartisan member of New York's congressional delegation and I am proud of my work across the political aisle to protect working Nassau County residents by stopping the MTA's Congestion Tax and delivering tens of millions of dollars to improve health, education, job opportunities and public safety in New York's 4th Congressional District.
