When in office, what will you do to reduce harm and ensure there is social and economic equity for Black Long Islanders? If you are an incumbent, what policies/initiatives/laws have you supported that do this?
Affordability and safety are top priorities in my campaign for reelection , for ALL residents of Suffolk County . While in office, I have co-sponsored legislation passed by the Legislature to aid volunteers firefighters with housing costs. While this may not seem geared to black Long Islanders, it is in fact, as there are significant numbers of black Long Islanders in the Volunteer Fire Fighting system. I have also supported initiatives at the Town and County levels to support community housing, otherwise known as workforce housing. Again, although this is not specifically geared towards Black Long Islanders, it supports housing that is meant to include all eligible residents.
We also support through County funding, East End African American Museum, African American Film Festival, and
We also support Black Authors Writers Workshop. Held on the East End.

I am extremely supportive of all Long Islanders, particularly those who may be faced with economic and social challenges, including any Black Long Islanders. Thank you for this opportunity.
