Candidate Questionnaire Responses

When in office, what will you do to reduce harm and ensure there is social and economic equity for Black Long Islanders? If you are an incumbent, what policies/initiatives/laws have you supported that do this?

My career has focused on public service, and I currently lead a nonprofit organization that focuses on improving opportunities for Long Islanders, employing an equity lens in our work on hunger, poverty, health, disaster preparedness and more. Long Island is one of the most segregated regions nationally and despite increases in diversity, our segregation has persisted. As a Legislator, I would continue the work I have done throughout my career to improve opportunities and catalyze outcomes for Long Island families, employing an equity lens and creating an environment that supports every family living their best lives.

Is there anything else you'd like us to know about your campaign?

I am a passionate, human-services focused candidate that believes government should be the "tide that raises all boats." As Legislator, I would focus on opportunities to improve the lives of those who live in my district and throughout Suffolk County.
