Candidate Questionnaire Responses

When in office, what will you do to reduce harm and ensure there is social and economic equity for Black Long Islanders? If you are an incumbent, what policies/initiatives/laws have you supported that do this?

I will focus on implementing a plan for housing, that addresses access and affordability. I will work with black business owners to guide them through processes that have not been as transparent and lobby for federal funding to be able to support economic development. I will work with local nonprofits to address addiction crisis that affect our communities of color. Most importantly, I will increase visibility in the communities that have been most neglected.

Is there anything else you'd like us to know about your campaign?

If I were to win this seat, Iā€™d be the first woman of color to hold this office. It is important that the Town of Hempstead addresses the concerns of our black residents. My campaign has been grassroots and will continue to focus on the stark disparities that have existed for too long.
