When in office, what will you do to reduce harm and ensure there is social and economic equity for Black Long Islanders? If you are an incumbent, what policies/initiatives/laws have you supported that do this?
I am a believer in the old saying rising tide raises all boats. We have to as a community to be invested in all our communities. Nothing lifts lives more than economic development that creates employment opportunities. A robust economy will generate sale taxes that combined with a well managed county government will lower overall cost of living. As county legislator I will be fierce advocate to ensure we promote education and opportunities to support those that come from disenfranchised communities.
Is there anything else you'd like us to know about your campaign?
I was President of NYS 5th biggest police union and aggressively pursed recruitment in minority communities. My belief was good law enforcement policies and police department should be representative of the communities they serve
