The position of Town Clerk is a non-policy making position, and does not have a vote, however, effective leadership starts from the top, and sets the tone for what is and is not acceptable within the work space. My vision is that of inclusivity for everyone, regardless of political affiliation, race, ethnicity, gender, gender identification, sexual orientation, age or physical ability. If not already in practice, I would look to establish a DEI Council to make sure that we are building a cohesive work environment, where everyone feels welcome, supported, and valued.
