Candidate Questionnaire Responses
When in office, what will you do to reduce harm and ensure there is social and economic equity for Black Long Islanders? If you are an incumbent, what policies/initiatives/laws have you supported that do this?
In the State Senate, I would be a strong ally with members of the Democratic Assembly caucus like Assemblymember Michaelle Solages, focused on priorities to help address inequities for Black Long Islanders. These priorities would include investments in our health care system, job opportunity and apprenticeship programs, housing access, and more.
Is there anything else you'd like us to know about your campaign?
Iām running for State Senate because my community deserves a seat at the decision-making table. While Long Islanders face major challenges, our Senate district lacks a strong leader who will stand up for working families. We need someone who will bring us together to solve our greatest challenges, not someone who will fearmonger, sow division, and pander to the extremes of their party. My term will focus on the need to bring costs down for Long Island families, strengthen our public schools, protect our reproductive freedom, and invest in a sustainable future.
