Candidate Questionnaire Responses

When in office, what will you do to reduce harm and ensure there is social and economic equity for Black Long Islanders? If you are an incumbent, what policies/initiatives/laws have you supported that do this?

My legal career has been almost evenly divided as a county level prosecutor and a civil trial attorney. I believe I still have a great deal to contribute to the benefit of our community given my background, training and extensive courtroom experience over a 36 year career.

My core values and vision for the town justice position would simply be described as endeavoring to ensure safety within the community, together with an emphasis on the fair and equitable administration of justice to all appearing before the Court, including those in the jurisdiction affected by the various matters before the Court.

There are many different considerations to be weighed by a judge if a fair and equitable administration of justice is to be had, based upon each set of circumstances in each individual matter.

Although judicial candidates are not permitted to pledge, promise or make a commitment inconsistent with the impartial performance as a sitting judge, I am fully committed to the fair and just treatment of all who appear before the courts of the Town of Southampton.

Is there anything else you'd like us to know about your campaign?

Thank you for this opportunity to be heard.
