I would try to prioritize initiatives such as greater police oversight, increased investment in Black communities to improve quality of life issues, improving human services programs, and a revaluation of criminal sentencing standards. However, as a white person, I'm aware of my limited understanding of the challenges facing our minority communities. I would want to be guided by the advice and input of the County's Department of Minority Affairs to identify the programs considered most important and impactful to the Black community.
