When in office, what will you do to reduce harm and ensure there is social and economic equity for Black Long Islanders? If you are an incumbent, what policies/initiatives/laws have you supported that do this?

When in office, I will work to increase diversity in the Brookhaven Government. I will be an ally to people of color by listening to their concerns and finding soluions not only within district 2 but within the entire town.

I will work to create a comprehensive plan to close the landfill, build a sustainable recycling plan and make the community around the landfill as close to whole as possible.

I believe in transparency of government because transparency promotes honesty and integrity. Honesty and integrity promote equity.

I have worked as a voter protection advocate with the NY Democratic Lawyers Council and as a Suffolk County Board of Elections polling inspector. As such, I have worked to make sure everyone that is properly registered to vote gets to vote.

I have also worked as a volunteer mentor at Dress for Success Brookhaven to help empower women and as a volunteer mock trial coach at Longwood High School. A significant percentage of participants in these programs are people of color.
