Candidate Questionnaire Responses
When in office, what will you do to reduce harm and ensure there is social and economic equity for Black Long Islanders? If you are an incumbent, what policies/initiatives/laws have you supported that do this?
I will continue to support the work of Southold Town Anti-Bias Task Force as a recipient of the Helen Wright Prince Award promoting equity, justice and fairness. I was proud to work as a community member representing the educational community on Southold Town Police Review Task Force as an appointee of the Town Board. This work engaged our community in open dialogue and supported the updating of our Police Station and policy manual, our training and resources for law enforcement and a continued open regular dialogue to ensure support for law enforcement and promote safety, equity and wellness.
Is there anything else you'd like us to know about your campaign?
As a former Superintendent of Schools I am committed to promoting equity across our community.
